The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers have been heading in different directions over the past month. The Ravens, champions of the AFC North, have been blowing teams out over the past four weeks. Their average margin of victory was 23 points per game over that span, with the closest of those four being a 34-17 win over Pittsburgh on Dec. 21, in which the Ravens took control of the division on their way to a wild-card round home game. Lamar Jackson turned in an historic regular season, becoming the first quarterback in league history to throw 40 or more touchdown passes with four or fewer interceptions and the first player to throw for 4,000 yards while rushing for 800 yards, all on his way to becoming the NFL's all-time leading rusher at the quarterback position.

Only one intradivisional game is on the schedule for the 2024-25 NFL playoffs' wild-card weekend, and it's one between two frequent playoff contenders out of the AFC North.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to take on the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth playoff matchup between the two teams. Though Pittsburgh has won three of the first four, the Steelers will have their work cut out for them entering Saturday night's clash.
Steelers vs. Ravens score, live updates: AFC North rivals clash for the third time this season in wild-card matchup

Baltimore has played like one of the best teams in football over the final stretch of the regular season, winning their final four games to win the division and earn the right to host a playoff game. Meanwhile, the Steelers' recent stretch has been the mirror opposite. They've dropped their last four games while failing to score more than 17 points in each.

The Ravens are entering the postseason as winners of their last four games. The Steelers will begin their playoff run as losers of their last four. In that span, Baltimore ranks as the best team in the NFL in EPA per play and success rate on offense. Pittsburgh is second-worst in EPA per play and fourth-worst in success rate.

Part of that comes down to quarterback play. The Ravens' Lamar Jackson has been the league's best quarterback over the last four weeks among gunslingers with more than 100 snaps and has strengthened his MVP case. In contrast, Steelers starter Russell Wilson ranks fourth-worst in that sample.

In the end, Baltimore's offensive onslaught will be too much for the Steelers to overcome, especially if they get off to another slow start.
