As you know, Izzy Carter, a 6-2, 175-pound 3-star QB from Centennial High in Corona, Calif. visited after originally planning to visit a week earlier. He committed to Arizona State in April but decided not to sign after the coaching change even though he liked new hire Kenny Dillingham. As a senior he completed 89 of 148 passes (60 percent) for 1,863 yards and 23 TDs with one interception while running for 592 yards and 11 scores. He is rated the 57th-best player in a prospect-rich state.
With Michael Pratt entering almost certainly his final year at Tulane and Justin Ibieta's status uncertain for the start of the season, Tulane could use another QB with potential to join Kai Horton, Carson Haggard and Darian Mensah. Carter is a terrific athlete.
