For the first time ever the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will make an appearance in the NCAA Championship game in women’s soccer on Monday against fellow ACC member UNC. The Demon Deacons come into Monday’s game with an overall record of 16-3-4 on the season after beating ACC newcomer Stanford in a 1-0 nail biter in the semifinals on Friday.

In a highly defensive contest, Wake Forest goalkeeper Valentina Amaral stood strong, recording four saves, including a critical stop in the first half that has gone viral on social media in the last few days.
