Lightweights Dusty Sparks (1-0, 1 KO) and Hasan Al-Ghanim (2-0, 2 KOs) are next on the docket. This is Sparks’ first fight under the BKFC promotion after winning his debut on April 27 via third-round knockout over Cole Sikes at MMAX FC 29: Heavy Hitters in Poteau, Oklahoma. Al-Ghanim is back in the ring less than two months after knocking out Ryan Ibsen at 1:13 of the opening round at BKFC Prospect Series: Edmonton on Aug. 31.
The final preliminary fight pits Ruben Arroyo in his bare-knuckle debut against Nash Diederichs (0-1). Arroyo was scheduled to fight Dylan Schulte on May 31 before the bout was cancelled. Diederichs debuted in Edmonton on Aug. 31 and was stopped 50 seconds into the fight by Matt Scholotiuk. Arroyo is a featherweight moving up to lightweight for the fight while Diederichs is a welterweight coming down in weight class.
The previous BKFC event was held mid October in Marbella, Spain. In the main event, Argentinian-born Spain-based Franco Tenaglia became a new BKFC lightweight champion by majority decision against Tony Soto of Hickory, North Carolina.
